PSD 1500 "Silent Pak"

Description

The new PSD “Silent Pak” pump allows for a 1500 gpm NFPA rated pump without a pump transmission. After working closely with Chelsea and Allison for months, on December 1, 2011, Darley received approval for a 1500 gpm rating from Chelsea when using their Model 870XJFJP-B5XV series PTO with a 200% ratio and an Allison EVS 3000 Series transmission. The engine speed needed is only 2049 rpm, so it can be matched with most engines on the market capable of producing at least 225 net horsepower. The Allison transmission must be ordered with the 1:00 PTO provision, but the pump can run off the 8:00 or 1:00 position.
