The Fire Apparatus Manufacturers’ Association released a 2018 report on new fire apparatus’ orders. The orders in the USA was flat. Orders from Canada were up a little bit. The number of orders overseas was down. Going into 2019 we are expecting the orders to remain flat. We view this as the new normal in the industry. FAMA is dedicated to important issues in the fire industry. To inform their 2019 decisions they put out a survey for firefighters to fill out. If you’re a firefighter we’d appreciate if you could take the time and fill out the survey, not only will it help us serve the fire industry you’ll have a chance to win a $500 gift card.
eDarley is Darley’s firefighting equipment website. We’ve tailored the website to the different type of customer we serve. OEMs and Fire Departments can set up a business account which opens an array of special features. We’ve created eDarley Dollars for our individual customer accounts. I am always looking for trends in the fire industry, and our first attachment 2019 Fire Department Predictions by eso. Eso is a company that uses data to improve a community’s health and safety. They found four trends that fire departments will likely pursue in 2019. If you have a few minutes, this is a great article to help inform your decisions in 2019.
