Hi, I’m Paul Darley and thanks for tuning in to our October issue of “Inside Darley”.
You know, fall has finally arrived, and that means it’s time for our fall winter issue of the “Darley Times”, which we’ve attached here for you.
If you check that out on page one, you’ll see a tribute to Sam Skinner. You know, he served on our board of directors for over 15 years. He was the Chief of Staff for President George Herbert Walker Bush, President Bush 41, as well as, the Secretary of Transportation in some other areas.
Also on page one for our pump customers, I’d point out our new 10 year warranty is now in effect on all pumps that were shipped beginning September 1st. So, if you have a pump that has a PTO or a mid-ship pump, that now carries a full 10 year warranty, plus three years of labor, and that’s the longest by far in our industry.
On page two, you’ll see a special tribute to Baltimore County Fire Department, whose entire fleet has gone to Darley Pumps.
And at the lower level of page two, you’ll see our information on our new PS 2000 GPM pump. So, our PS pump has been around for over 20 years, available as a 1000 to 1500 GPM, but our engineers have been able to work their magic, and that is now available up to 2000 GPM.
On page three, you’ll see some exciting projects from our new USMR Division, that’s our Unmanned Systems, Metaverse and Robotics Division. And I’ll tell you, the things that are going on in that division are so exciting, so hopefully you’ll check that out. If you’ve got some interest, let us know, and we’ll be happy to get you off information.
You know, on page five, we’ve been introduced a new international pump for our international customers. It was unveiled at INTERSCHUTZ earlier this year, but you’ve been clamoring for that for a long time. So, reach out to us if we can help you in that area.
And on page seven, you’ll see a a special article on wildland vehicles. You know, and Darley pumps have been really at the heart of the vast majority of wildland vehicles sold in the United States over the last 15 to 20 years. So, check that article out. There’s some great units there. There’s some, we also have given you some links to the manufacturers of those vehicles.
And lastly, check out page eight. There’s kind of a neat tribute, “Pawn Stars”, which is a TV show, features a Darley siren from the 1930s that a gentleman brought into their shop looking to sell. He does end up selling it, but if you wanna see that on YouTube or just Google series 20, episode one and you’ll be able to watch that live if it’s of interest to you.
You know, in November, we’re going to go live with our new website. Our “Inside Darley” will be released on our old version, but November 4th, we plan to have our new version of our website up and running. So look for that.
If you’re in the fire apparatus market you’ll be interested to know that fire apparatus sales in North America were up 29% year over year compared to 2021. So, if you’re in the market for a new fire apparatus, most OEMs, most fire apparatus manufacturers are now quoting 18 to 24 months delivery. So we’d encourage you to get that on order earlier than later.
