W.S. Darley & Co. (Darley) is pleased to announce that Darley Defense’s management system is now certified to ISO 9001:2015. ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system (QMS). Both Darley manufacturing facilities in Chippewa Falls, WI, and Janesville, IA, have QMS that are registered to ISO 9001 as well.
This certification demonstrates a commitment to our customers, both end users and the federal government, that we are able to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continual quality improvement. The process to certify the QMS of the Defense Division began in March 2021 and has taken contributions from staff at all levels of the organization. “A lot of time and effort went into this process, but as a company, we’re dedicated to operational excellence and that includes a focus on process improvement,” said James Long, executive vice president, Fire & Defense Divisions.
