Search the documents delivered with the apparatus for information. All pumps have a metal tag attached to them. If the tag is missing, search the pump for a serial number stamped into it.

Yes, it is often possible to repair a Darley pump, depending on the specific issue and the age and condition of the pump. Common issues that can often be repaired include worn or damaged impellers and casings, leaking mechanical seals, and damaged bearings. If the pump is too old or the cost of repair is high, it might be more cost-effective to replace it with a new unit.

If a part is not in stock, Darley will fabricate or order it from our supplier as quickly as possible.
80W-90 for all gearcases.
- Check the oil level every 25 hours or every 3 months.
- Change the oil every 50 (pumping) hours or 6 months.
Drain the water from the pump after each use, check valves to ensure all water is drained.
Darley will need the engine specifications, transmission specifications, PTO (Power Take Off) specifications, and the information from the original pump.

Yes, it is often possible to repair a Darley pump, depending on the specific issue and the pump’s age and condition. Darley recommends all bearings be replaced during a pump rebuild as well.
- On a metal tag fastened to the pump housing. Serial numbers are usually five or six digits long.
- The serial number is often stamped into the pump housing if the metal tag has been damaged or removed.
Bronze pumps are recommended for saltwater use.
- Check the air hoses for leaks/clogs.
- Ensure the air pressure produced is adequate to operate all functions on the apparatus.

If water has frozen inside your Darley pump, it is crucial to thaw it out before operating it. Frozen water can expand and damage the pump’s components.

Darley does not stock all engine components. We recommend that you visit your local authorized distributor for OEM engine parts and support.
Accessory Questions
Yes, valves can be rebuilt with new seals and O-rings while the valve body is reused.
Yes, you can! Our primer pumps are designed to be rebuilt. If the motor is not functioning, it may need to be replaced as well.
